Viewing PDF files

When you click a link for a PDF file, Safari displays it in your browser window and provides a toolbar to help you view the file.

To use the PDF tools:

To view the toolbar, put the mouse pointer in the middle of the PDF page, near the bottom. If you move the pointer away from the toolbar, it disappears after a moment.

The toolbar has four icons. Point to each icon to see a label.

If the type is too small or too large, click the plus (+) and minus (-) icons to zoom in or out.

To view the PDF file in Preview, click the “Open PDF in Preview” icon. After Preview opens, choose Help > Preview Help for more information on viewing PDF files.

To save the PDF file on your hard disk, click the “Save PDF to downloads folder” icon.
