Providing feedback about Safari

If you experience a problem using Safari, you can send feedback to Apple from Safari. Problems may include webpages that fail to load properly or features that don’t work the way you expect them to.

To send feedback about Safari:

Step 1

Choose Safari > ”Report Bugs to Apple.”

The dialog includes the address of the webpage open in the active window. This information can be useful in evaluating the problem you’re experiencing.

Step 2

Type a brief description of the problem in the text box. If possible, describe what you were doing when the problem occurred.

Step 3

To send a screen shot or the source of the current page, click More Options and select what you want to send. You can also choose a category for the problem.

Step 4

When your report is ready, click Submit.

Safari sends an email message to Apple with the information you’ve specified. If you selected to send a screen shot, Safari takes a screen shot of the active Safari window and sends it with the message. Safari doesn’t include any personal information in the message, such as your email address. Although you won’t receive a reply, Apple greatly appreciates your taking the time to submit a big report.

If you send reports frequently, you can choose View > Customize Address Bar, and then drag the Report Bug button to the toolbar.
